Solo B blasts: Margai is Childish & Ernest is Inexperienced

Vice President Solomon Berewa of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) has described Charles Margai of the People’s Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC) as “childish” and Ernest Koroma of the All People’s Congress (APC) as “inexperienced”.
These assessments of his opponents were made during his recent visit to the northern district of Port Loko which in recent times has become one of the hottest contested districts in the country.
Mr Berewa recalled one of the recent speeches of the PMDC leader, Charles Margai, which was so pitiful that “it symbolizes a crying child”.
The SLPP flagbearer went on to state that even though “this man was a cabinet minister he was never able to introduce a single paper to become a law.”
Commenting on the presidential aspirant of the All People’s Congress, the Vice President said, “he has never darkened the threshold of a cabinet room and will certainly remain vague in such matters.”
He however told his audience that, “Hon. Ernest Bai Koroma could be a good insurance man,” unlike “Charles Margai who is a disgruntled man and does not know anything whatsoever about Vision 2025 or the PRSP.”
Vice President Solomon Berewa canvassing the votes of the people described himself as “a very intelligent man who has passed his apprenticeship on presidential affairs with flying colours.”
He made special reference to the countless times he had had cause to serve as president when president Kabbah was on official duties out of the country, and therefore encouraged the youth to access the three of them thoroughly to influence the presidential July 28 election.
Vice President Berewa further called on the people of Port Loko to ensure that they elect the right person who would set the development pace for the development of the nation.
Meanwhile, the scramble for this northern district continues unabated with the ruling party desperately making some inroads.
