Though President Ernest Bai Koroma and the Minister of Energy and Power Haja Afsatu Kabba are making relentless efforts to restore constant electricity supply back to the country, there are some factions of the public who are against that.
Two Police Constables (PC)  7639  Nabieu  S. J deployed  at  the Transport Headquarter and  PC 9172 George  I. S.  of the Operational Support Division (OSD) attached to the National Power Authority (NPA) power station at Kingtom together with two civilians, Juma Amara and Julius Smart were on Sunday caught stealing 21 five-gallons plastic containers filled  with NPA fuel.
According to police source, at about 03: 20 hours seven police officers acting on a tip-off arrested the four suspects with 21 five-gallon plastic containers at the back of the NPA power house.
Giving a background on the operation,  the source disclosed that  the seven police officers  closely  monitored and observed the activities going on around the NPA power house and  the residence of one of the suspects, PC 7639 Nabieu S.J.
The source maintained that few minutes later, the police decided to storm the premises where the fuel was being transported to.
In the house of PC 7639, 21 five-gallon plastic containers full of fuel were found having been unlawfully taken from the NPA power house  to the house of one of the suspects.
Workers at the NPA power house, who asked not to be identified, said it was usual for some workers to steal fuel from the power house and sell it to the public.
The workers noted that whenever some workers changed shift that would be the time that the incidence would occur.
Many workers have demanded that action be taken as the issues of stealing property of the NPA were becoming alarming. Meanwhile, the matter is under police investigations.
