SLAA conflict is a test case for government

The Sierra Leone Athletics’ Association (SLAA) present conflict is a test case for government, this disclosure was made by a senior member of Sports Council yesterday to Awoko Sports.
He stated that as a government they are going to stand by the decision and nothing is going to change it. If they fail to stand by their decision other sporting associations will do worse than the athletics association and at the end they will say nothing will come out of it.
That is why as a ministry they are doing everything in their power to stand by their decision.
He stated that Sierra Leone is a sovereign state so nobody will come out side to tell them what to do even if IAAF officials come into the country, they must go through the ministry of Education Youth and Sports as they have stated their position clear to them.
Today, the minister of Education Youth and sports II Dr Lansana Nyalley is expected to start his investigation on allegation he received from ACC at his New England office about the selection of athletes by the athletics associations that should represent the country in the Commonwealth Games in India.
