DHL improving postal services in Sierra Leone

The leading mail and logistics courier around the World, DHL, plans to improve on its products and services in Sierra Leone in a bid to ensure customer satisfaction.
The Managing Director of DHL for sub-Saharan Africa, Charles Brewer, is currently visiting Sierra Leone to meet with DHL staff, customers and government officials about investment opportunities.
He said DHL is operating in 51 countries with 220 couriers and 470, 000 employees around the world, providing quality services to the world market.
He also pointed out that they also have 250 planes flying around the world and 80,000 trucks.
He stated that DHL has long term investment portfolio spanning over 24 years of services in Sierra Leone and we are going to continue to provide more services, he added.
Explaining further about DHL operation, the Managing Director said they have secured a dedicated aircraft flying in and out of the country and a yellow speed boat that operates between Freetown and Lungi International Airport.
He said DHL Sierra Leone provides trade links with the rest of the world, citing the increase in sending and receiving of couriers.
He further explained that the mining industry in the country has increased its exports which resulted to the commissioning of a bigger airline.
In the area of Corporate Social Responsibility, he said DHL joined volunteers to clean Freetown Secondary Schools for Girls (FSSG) and also planted 1100 trees to combat deforestation.
DHL Sierra Leone Managing Director, Mr. Basil Akinbinu, explained about the various products and services DHL is providing in Sierra Leone and assured the general public of improved products that ensures customer satisfaction.
