The Manager for Lake Sonfon hotel Alusine Jalloh located at Sacquee drive Wilkinson Road was yesterday refused bail by Magistrate Shyllon of the Freetown court No 3 on a one count charge of fraudulent conversion of 14 pieces of diamond from Kia Abeay Yusuf Kagbawa a diamond agent.
The charge sheet read in court states that some time in June this year the accused fradulently converted 14 pieces of diamond valued  Le 9,600,000 (nine million six hundred thousands Leones ) entrusted  to him by Kagbawa for safe keeping and he (Jalloh) converted it to his own use
Lawyer Edwards who appeared for the accused asked the court to use its discretion  in granting his clients bail, adding that, the matter before the court is a mere allegation.
He added that the accused is a business man who will present himself in court when ever the case comes up for hearing and that he has a credible surety to bail him.
However after listening to both the Lawyer and the complainant, Magistrate Shyllon refused the accused bail and adjourned the matter to Monday 1st October 2007.
