The Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority wishes to inform the general public that with immediate effect all passengers going though the Freetown International Airport shall undergo the following checks as an integral component of the normal Airport screening process:
1. Washing of hands with chlorinated water
2. Temperature scan
3. Completion of public health passenger locator form
These measures will apply till further notice. The travelling public IS ASSURED THAT THE ABOVE MEASURES WILL BE DONE WITH FULL RESPECT OF THE RIGHTS OF PASSENGERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SIERRA LEONE CIVIL AVIATION REGULATIONS.
The Public is also informed that in collaboration with Air France, further steps have been taken by the Management of the Sierra Leone Airports Authority to fully sterilize the entire airport so as to mitigate the Ebola threat.

In respect of the above, Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority is advising all passengers to arrive at the Airport early enough to allow time for the new Airport screening and check-in procedures.
