Sierra Leone Advert: RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Tech1Tetra Tech ARD will implement the West Africa Biodiversity and Climate Change (WA BiCC) program, funded by USAID, from offices in several countries including Sierra Leone. The goal of the program is to improve conservation and climate-resilient, low-emission growth across West Africa. Tetra Tech ARD will work with partners at the community, national and regional levels to strengthen policies and systems that will improve natural resource management and the health and resilience of selected coastal and upland forest ecosystems. At present we are looking for candidates to fill the following positions in Freetown:
Operations Manager: Responsible for managing the overall financial systems, operations, subcontracts, grants, human resources and general administration for the WA BiCC program in Freetown. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in an equivalent position for an NGO or an international organization is required. University degree in finance, logistics or similar field. Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues. Must also be able to create a supportive working relationship among all program staff. Experience with QuickBooks and USAID rules and regulations is highly desired. Fluent in English and professionally proficient in French.
Finance Specialist: Responsible for accounting and financial control systems to meet generally recognized accounting standards, as well as bookkeeping, bank account reconciliation and cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for effective and efficient implementation. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an equivalent position for an NGO or an international organization is required. University degree in accounting or similar field. Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team. Advanced skills in QuickBooks. Fluent in English.
Office Manager: Responsible for the day-to-day oversight and administration of the WA BiCC office including information management systems, meetings, workshops, human resource management and inventory. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an equivalent position for an NGO or an international organization is required. University degree of certificate in a related field. Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues. Experience with USAID recruitment practices and employee onboarding. Fluent in English.
Office Assistant: Responsible for administrative tasks, receiving visitors and providing general support throughout the WA BiCC office. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of three (3) years of professional work experience. University degree of certificate in a related field. A strong command of Microsoft Office applications. Good problem solving and communication skills. Fluent in English.
