Sierra Leone National cricket senior player, Emmanuel Kamara, has assured Sierra Leone that they will be promoted into the division five (5) after they win the ICC/Africa WCL One Day International Division One Tournament which has been slated for the 7-17 of this month.
He made this statement as the delegation bid farewell to the Sports Ministry on Monday 3rd April 2017.
He went further than last year in another competition in South Africa they were able to win the competition which gave them qualification to division one competition that is why they are doing everything possible to set that same record in 2016 .
He stated that the team is up to the task to achieve great things in South Africa. The Minister of Sports, Ahmed Khanou, said the task before them is a huge one and they must now work hard to maintain their past glories and come with laurels for the country.
The Minister of Sport praised the Chief Executive Officer, Beresford Bournes-Coker and members of the Executive of the Sierra Leone National Cricket Association. He wished them success during their encounters as they leave the shores of Sierra Leone for South

Africa. He also promised that they would be welcomed at the Lungi Airport when they arrive back home. The 16-man delegation is comprised of 13 players and 3 officials.
