The Chief Security Officer one of the Beach Marshalls under the auspices of the National Tourist Board of Sierra Leone ( NTB), Sayor Kamara has echoed to this writer that, the entire beaches in the Country and all other touristic sites, more especially the 3.2km stretched beach, Lumley Beach are well secure and safe and therefore calling on all and Sundry to visit these natural assets and enjoy their blissfulness. CSO1 made this disclosure on Tuesday 23rd January 2018 at the Foyer of the NTB Head office, Lumley Beach Road, Aberdeen.
“We patrol day and night in order to ensure that there is no case of theft, violence or brutality along the coastal areas, we want to make sure that, everyone feels secure whenever one visits the Beaches” CSO1 noted. He maintained that, as a security body charged with the responsibility of providing adequate security for all the Beaches and other touristic sites in the Country, they have decided to double up their steps and becomes very much meticulous, witty, foxy and innovative so as to be ahead of criminals in order to be able to dismantle and foil all their clandestine plans.
He however called on the government to provide sharp and bright lights between Atlantic Lumley Hotel to Golf Course as these places are most times dim at night. He also called on the Government to assist them for medical facilities, security equipments and other logistics to enhance the success of their job.
