The Secretary General of the Western Area Football Association (WAFA) Benjamin Gordon, says the Association wants more football clubs to come on board to be part of the final 24 teams. He said the executive shall decide the number of teams participating in the competitions of WAFA. For that reason WAFA is looking for interested team(s) that will fulfill the requirements/criteria for a final 24th Division One spot. He revealed that all the teams who want to take part in the league must meet the WAFA criteria by Friday 29 March 2019. Part of the requirements for teams are bank statements/audited financial statements and a training ground. According to Ibrahim Sillah, WAFA should make sure that teams that are going to register should have an executive that should run the club. One of the players Mohamed Kellah, who is expected to play for one of the teams, said that he is looking forward to such competition as he wants to exhibit his talent.
