Sierra Leone News: Labour Minister meets Chinese Ambassador

Chinese Ambassador Hu Zhangliang has paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Adekunle Milton King, at his New England Office to brief him on the Sino-Sierra Leone relationship. He said that the relationship between the two countries has grown over the years and he is ready to work with the Minister of Labour. “I want to inform you that the government of China is proud to work with your government and your ministry to improve human capacity and other areas that will make your work easier.” The Minister of Labour thanked the Ambassador for the visit and said that he was very happy to have been visited by the Ambassador. “China has been very supportive to our government over the years and we are very happy for your support. I am happy that you are treating us as brothers and hope that the relationship between the two countries will continue to grow.” King thanked the Government and people of China for the assistance accorded to the ministry over the years. The Minister of Labour noted that despite the efforts by the ministry to address industrial matters; it is seriously challenged. He informed the envoy that the Government of Sierra Leone has established the National Employment and migration policy.
