Kim Grunho was first arraigned on Wednesday 17 April 2019, before Magistrate Hannah Bonnie of the Freetown Magistrate Court No.1 charged with wounding with intent, wounding and assault occasioning actually bodily harm. It was alleged on Tuesday 26 February 2019, at Best Shop Industry Sierra Leone Limited, York, the accused released two dangerous dogs that bit Salamatu Kargbo. The complainant, Salamatu Kargbo, recognized the accused as her boss. She was working for him as a caterer. After being remanded at the Male Correctional Centre at Pademba Road on his first appearance by Magistrate Bonnie. He was finally granted Le50 million bail a week later, after the testimony of the complainant. Appearing before Magistrate Hannah Bonnie on 15 May 2019, the complainant Salamatu Kargbo noted that she came to inform the Court that the accused had settled everything he owed her. The accused was supposed to pay the complainant her monthly salary, which he failed to do. As a result of such payment, there were some altercations between the accused and the complainant that resulted in the dog bites. Kargbo said Kim had given her over Le9 million, including medication, salary and benefits, and she has no intent to continue with the matter. The Police Prosecutor, ASP Mansaray, underscored that they wished to offer no further evidence against the accused, since the complainant had decided to withdraw the matter from court. Magistrate Bonnie discharged the accused for want of prosecution.
